Owner Blakley Kymen, a Mandeville native, has made it full circle. Previously the Executive Chef of Marcello’s Wine Market Café in Lafayette, and Marcello’s Restaurant & Wine Bar in New Orleans, she now brings the Marcello’s brand to the North Shore. Marcello’s is an authentic representation of Sicilian comfort food with a unique wine concept. There is no wine list here! While they do offer a nice list of wines by the glass and specialty craft cocktails, guests are encouraged to get up and peruse the racks and already chilled white wine cooler for their value priced bottle selection.
Marcello’s is in a quaint old home the Historic Downtown Covington and is truly a family restaurant. Blakley works beside her husband, Executive Chef Nicholas Fadely. She is delighted to assist guests in pairing wines to compliment the beautifully prepared food Chef Fadely creates. You may also be greeted by other family members throughout your visit such as daughter Savannah, a Mother, Sister, Aunt, Niece, or Cousin.
